Learning about Soil

"Changes Under the Ground"

WE MAKE AN EXPERIMENT   

• First, we worked with some of the soil students brought and spread it over a paper. Using the magnifying glass they looked at it and wrote down what they saw there
•

Then, using the jar and putting some soil inside, we poured some water in it and shake it. We watched what happened and students took down notes about it. 

• Finally, we left the jars aside for a few days for the soil to settle down at the bottom. Students could then observe the humus floating at the top.

Trabajamos en equipo

Esta semana junto a los chicos de 4to compartimos y conversamos sobre la importancia de trabajar y avanzar todos juntos.

  Trabajamos entorno a los consejos que le dejó a su hija. En casa investigamos  historias de nuestras familias relacionadas con las máximas.

Mission Possible

Mission Possible

The aim of this project was to give and understand the purposes of being respectful in life. We worked on our everyday activities so as to understand the importance of sharing and being tolerant with each other. We used the App of ‘ClassDojo’ for self-evaluation. By sharing different situations and activities that we performed every day we evaluated the values that were being presented there and explained if they were worth  or not giving a point to that action. We focus on the growth, maturity and sense of self-confidence promoting self-expression and awareness of ourselves and others.

Semana de mayo

  Celebramos nuestro primer gobierno patrio. Y luego de compartir distintas fuentes de información para profundizar en el tema, los chicos de cuarto organizados en grupos armaron un TWIT para cada día de aquella semana especial en nuestra historia Argentina. Seleccionando qué querían publicar sobre ese día en particular de mayo de 1.810. Buen trabajo!

Useful information for our Term Exams!

Dear Children: you'll be having your Term Exams from Thursday 21st to Thursday 28th. 

Remember that this is just an instance for you to work alone and to show everything you have learned during the term. You can revise from your folder. Any doubt ask your teachers!

The topics are:

• Reading Comprehension: reading a text and answering questions.
• Simple Present 
• Simple Past
• Opposites
• Identify nouns , adjectives and verbs in a sentence. 
• Writing a descriptive paragraph: punctuation: use of capital Letter, full stop, comma, question mark and exclamation mark. 
• Vocabulary worked during the first term.

Today we started working with Matilda and we discussed the importance of knowing the author of a story it will help us understand the plot and the characters better. This is the case of Roald Dahl, whose stories are highly influenced by his personal life. 

Here are some facts about this fantastic writer...

Then, we read this beautiful poem his unique "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory"...

Finally, we watched an extract from the movie "Willy Wonka", in which Gene Wilder interprets the poem beautifully...

With all these facts in mind, we are ready to start MATILDA, enjoy!!
